Maintenance Supervisor

An experienced hands on industrial maintenance supervisor is required to manage a small internal work force and a range of sub-contract suppliers to service and maintain our plant and equipment.

The role will suit an Engineer with a wide range of skills and capable of tackling most problems. Good organisational and man management skills are also important.

Numerous equipment installations and upgrade projects are planned for the factory and this appointment is aimed at strengthening the existing team and improving long term equipment reliability.

Salary will commensurate with experience.


Production Manager

Due to a management responsibility re-organisation a new role of Production Manager is to be developed.

This will be a key role in the management team and include assisting the Deputy Managing Director in the day to day operational duties, Overseeing Production Planning, Process development and business improvements.

A successful candidate will have a good level of education and several years experience in a manufacturing management role, must be able to demonstrate positive leadership qualities and capable of introducing change and practical solutions to manufacturing problems.

Salary will commensurate with experience.


Sand Foundry Production Engineer

Trainee Sand Foundry Production Engineer

Reporting to the Technical Manager, each position will be based within our Sand Foundry.

You will be expected to drive the business forward by engineering out waste and improving efficiency, and will be able to demonstrate a disciplined and analytical approach to dealing with engineering problems.

An experienced applicant should have a strong engineering or metallurgical background gained within the foundry industry, ideally within the aluminium castings sector.

For the trainee position, a prerequisite is a HND/HNC as a minimum in an engineering or science based discipline.

Specific responsibilities for both positions will include:

  • Generate Sand Foundry production techniques using Microsoft Office family of programs and to maintain them to a sufficient standard to allow the repeatable production of aerospace quality castings.

  • To ensure that all pattern equipment supplied to the Sand Foundry for production is in a suitable condition to produce castings of an acceptable quality from it, and to liase with the Tooling and Estimating Engineer and Pattern Shop when the pattern equipment is of an unacceptable quality, damaged or worn.

  • To liase with Mould Production Operators, to ensure that the quality of moulds produced is consistent and that they are working in accordance with the established manufacturing technique.

  • Devise and amend running and feeding systems for new and existing castings to ensure that the process is optimised.

  • To liase with the Tooling and Estimating Engineer and/or Technical Manager highlighting problem assemblies and where quality improvements in the manufacturing procedure or pattern equipment can be created.

  • To ensure that there are no deviations from established quality and manufacturing procedures.

Salary commensurate with experience.
